After Jesus escaped from the people who want to kill him (again), Jesus returned to the place where John used to baptize people.
Eventually, a lot of people came to Jesus. They took note that while John didn't do any signs and wonders, John's proclamations about Jesus were true (10:41). In other words, Jesus was who John said he was. As a result, many people believed in Jesus (10:42).
