John 14:22-24

Jesus promised the disciples that although the world may eventually not see Jesus in the end, the disciples will. But then Judas (by the way it's a different Judas and not the one who ran off) asked Jesus a question -- how would Jesus show Himself to the disciples but not the world?

Jesus replied by making a connection to the call to keep Jesus's commandments. In particular, Jesus proclaims that people who love Jesus "will keep [His] word" (14:23). Not only that, but Jesus and the Father would come to him and establish home. In other words, those who love Jesus would further develop a connection with Jesus and the Father themselves! On the flip side, the one who doesn't love Jesus "does not keep [His] words", and Jesus used another "limited negative" to emphasize that the words are from the Father (14:24).

A good ol' "if and only if" statement regarding love for Jesus and following Jesus's call. So from Jesus's two statements, the world (since it rejects Jesus) does not keep Jesus's words and thus doesn't care about Jesus. It's worth noting that our love for God may be imperfect (since we sometimes mess up in following Jesus's call), but Jesus loves us first (as explained in John 3:16).
