Jesus had innocence that was even agreed by Pilate, but because of public pressure, Jesus still ended up getting crucified on the cross. Jesus got crucified in the place called Golgotha (AKA Place of a Skull) along with two other people. Pilate then wrote the title towards Jesus's cross that declared in multiple languages that Jesus was of Nazareth and King of the Jews.
Speaking of titles, some chief priests asked Pilate to swap the title to designated that Jesus claimed that he is the King of the Jews. However, Pilate maintained his writings. It's likely that Pilate maintained such writings because of Pilate's own view of who Jesus is.
