John 19:28-29

When Jesus was on the cross, Jesus knew that "all things were now accomplished" (19:28). He likely refers to how the religious leaders and Roman leaders put Jesus on a cross to be executed, but it's heavily implied that Jesus means much more (as seen in 19:30, which I'll get to shortly). Additionally, Jesus shouted, "I thirst!" (19:28), and Jesus got a drink from hyssop and sour wine (19:29). By the way, hyssop is a plant used in foods and healing consumables, though it has some bitter taste (Britannica).

The drink that Jesus got is yet another fulfillment of past Scripture. Two Scriptures commonly seen that was fulfilled by Jesus's drink was Psalm 22:15 and Psalm 69:21. Both of the Psalms are written by David when he faced great affliction (and we even saw Psalm 22 fulfilled before). In particular, David talked about in Psalm 22 that he was left to die of thirst, while David talked about in Psalm 69 that he was just given vinegar for thirst (rather than water). Both scenes talked about how David's affliction was prolonged (rather than quick and short) -- and the prolonged time definitely fits Jesus's affliction on the cross. Hence, Jesus's death was a "fulfillment" of those two events because the descriptors of the past fit the description of Jesus's death.
