John 9:24-34

A group tried to contact the formerly blind man's parents, but the parents were of little help to the group's cause. Then the peeps had a pretty intense conversation with the formerly blind man.

First, the peeps proclaimed that the healer must be a sinner (9:24), but the healed man responded that all he knows is that he can see and that he doesn't know if the healer is a sinner (9:25). Then the peeps asked how he got healed (9:26), but the healed man proclaimed that he already told them the events (9:27)! In doing so, he questioned if the accusers wanted to be the healer's disciples. Then the peeps proclaimed that they are Moses's disciples because they know where Moses came from but not the healer (9:28-29). But the healed man still focused on the fact that he got healed (9:30)!

Eventually, the blind man had some realizations that resulted in further proclamations. First, the blind man proclaims that God does not hear sinners and that doers of God's will results in God hearing him (9:31). Technically, the blind man's statement isn't 100% correct because God has heard and cared for sinners as seen in Jonah (note that inerrancy means that the event of the speaking is true, but the contents of the speaking may not necessarily be since it's a recordation), but in spite of his flaws, he knows that the healing must be approved by God. In particular, the blind man proclaimed that he is unaware that other people can do such things and that if the healer is not of God, the healer can't heal (9:32-33). And that is when the Judeans casted the healed man out after proclaiming that the healed man was born in sin and teaching them (9:34).

Retrospectively, the Pharisees were acting in self-righteousness while the healed man knew that the healing was a heavenly gift and held on to it. The healed man may not get all the details, but the healed man can testify of his healing and the impact from the healer. Even today, we can testify of Jesus's impact and know the big picture, even without knowing all the tiny details.
